Mr. Lewis Jackson, age 91, of Mayfield passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

He was a member of High Point Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He was also a former employee of the Merit Clothing Company, a retired employee of West Kentucky Rural Electric and a U.S. army veteran.

Mr. Jackson is survived by one daughter, Balinda (David H.) Carter of Mayfield; one grandson, Mitchell (Charity) Ivy of Mayfield; and two great grandchildren, Jaxon Ivy and Noah Ivy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jean Sanderson Jackson; four brothers, Flavious Jackson, Junior Jackson, Elmo Jackson and Odean Jackson; four sisters, St. L. Alexander, Josephine Gipson, Almeda Ray and Glenda Towery; and his parents, Cleatus H. and Eunice Puckett Jackson.

Funeral services for Mr. Lewis Jackson will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Bro. Don Embry and Bro. Darrick Holloman will officiate. Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Clay Suggs, Jimmy Jackson, Gary Sanderson, Glenn Alexander, Mitchell Ivy, David Carter and Ricky Ivy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxon Ivy, Noah Ivy and Ben Sholar.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the funeral home
