Clyde Lewis, 77, of Decatur, Illinois, peacefully departed his life on earth for a better life with the Lord on Monday, February 6, 2017at 4:15 a.m.

He was born December 14, 1939 in Caruthersville, Missouri. He was reared by his beloved aunt and uncle; Ida and Al Coleman. Clyde was a faithful member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed. He was a member of the A.B.I. class and a former member of the male chorus. He was extremely proud of the fact that he worked for ADM, retiring in 2005 after 37 years of service.

He married Doris A. Fuller on March 12, 1999. He was a great husband, and they spent 17 wonderful years together.

Clyde leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife, Doris; daughters: Sylvia Lewis, Cincinnati, Ohio; Deborah Lewis Jones, Atlanta, Georgia, Tina Lewis Jarvis, Kennett, Missouri, Maccara Reed, Sonja Lewis, and Lisa Lewis, Decatur, Illinois; sons: Tony Lewis, Caruthersville, Missouri., Adrian Lewis, Decatur, Illinois., Adrian Plato, Des Moines, Iowa: stepson; Christopher (Lisa) Woods, Decatur, Illinois; siblings: Ida Lewis Lunderman, Chicago, Illinois, Tommy Neal Jr., North Fort Meyers, Florida, Carol Dickerson, Las Vegas, Nevada, Virginia Neal, Fannie Atchison, Denise Neal and Dennis Neal of Fort Myers, Florida; sisters-in-law: Dessie Boyd and Margaret (Darnell) Robertson, Warrensville Heights, Ohio and Alma (Ridley) Miller, Decatur, Illinois, many grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and the Antioch family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aunt Ida and Uncle Al Coleman, sister; Lula Lewis Dubney, brothers; Alonzo and Michael Neal, sister-in-law; Essie Watkins.
Many special thanks to: The A.B.I. Class, Shonna, Joyce, Kathy, Velma, Sheila, Camille, and Amy. Thanks to Dr. McCormack and his staff for their professionalism, the care of Clyde, and their patience with me; Chris and Lisa, Alma, and Ridley... What would I have done without you'll? Home Going Celebration will be held 11:00 A. M. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with visitation one hour before service. Burial: Fairlawn Cemetery.
