Phillip Eugene Bennett, 71, passed away peacefully at 1:36 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at his home with his loved ones by his side.
Phillip was Born Dec. 21, 1945, in Princeton, Kentucky
a son to the late Chester Bennett and Frances (Hubbard) Bennett Johnson.
On June 6, 1964, he married high school sweetheart, Sandra Kaye Duff in Madisonville, Kentucky, and she survives.
Phillip began his career in mining equipment and sales as a parts runner, progressing to management then to vice president of sales and marketing of a multi-national corporation traveling internationally, ultimately retiring from Crown Reaco Battery.
Phillip enjoyed golfing with friends, driving his corvette, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of over 52 years, Sandra K Bennett; son, Phillip Wayne (Tracy) Bennett; daughter, Leigh Ann (Brad) Keyser of Marion; grandchildren, Morgan Keyser, Logan Bennett, and Kameron Keyser; brother, Doug (Barbara) Bennett of Hodgenville, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Norman Bennett.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, in Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville, Kentucky, with Kenneth Parker officiating. Burial at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
