Martha Louise Stipes, 74, of Owasso, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Tulsa. She was born on February 8, 1942 in Pryor; the daughter of Adolfus Owen and Ruby (Thompson) Owen.

She married Robert Stipes on May 3, 1960 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Louise enjoyed watching the Food Network Channel and Judge Judy, and in her younger years, would cook Ham every Sunday for her family. She always wanted to make sure her family had food and drink if they wanted it. She loved to make new recipes; Louise loved shopping any chance she got, also bird watching and feeding them. She looked forward to traveling within the United States and internationally with her husband, Robert. Most of all, her favorite activity was to spend time with her grandchildren and watching and attending their activities. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her life was full indeed, well lived and well loved.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Stipes of the home; son, Douglas Stipes and wife Dana of Owasso, Oklahoma; sisters, Wilma King, Sherrie McDougal, Betty Abbott, Carol Hunt and Vickie Denny; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolfus and Ruby Owen, and daughter, Donna McCombs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Brother D.J. Castoe officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Chapel Cemetery.
