Mrs. Manning graduated from Heber Springs High School in 1951. She married Mr. Verlon Manning on November 5, 1955. Together over the last sixty-one years, they raised three children, enjoyed their family, friends, church family, and loved being an important part of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.
Mrs. Manning served 23 years as the Executive Director of the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Manning was a devoted member of the Holden Avenue Church of Christ, where she served for many years as a Bible School teacher, was a member of the original Caring Sisters, and donated her time every week to helping cook meals for the Meals On Wheels program.
