He was born the son of Peter and Nora (Reyell) Ayotte.
He was employed at Plattsburgh State, retiring in 1971.
Survivors include one brother, George of Hammond; an aunt, Mrs. Julia Arle of Rand Hill; A sister-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Otten of Plattsburgh and three foster children, Edward Tamer of Albany and Leonard and Kathy Otten of Plattsburgh.
