Joseph C. Poteet, 61, passed away Tuesday (Sept. 14, 2010) at his home in the York community of Jonesville, Va.
He was of the Baptist faith and had attended Pond View Church. He worked for a mobile home dealer in Kingsport for many years and was a former employee of the Town of Jonesville prior to his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert W. Poteet and Lou Marcum Poteet; and one sister, Mildred Poteet Willis.
Surviving are two sisters, Mary Ruth Williams of Jonesville, Va., Wilma Janette Easterly of Kingsport; one daughter, Rochelle Roberts of Wise, Va.; one son, Michael Poteet of Seymour, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; and many personal friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Poteet Cemetery in the York community of Jonesville, Va.
