U.S. Veteran Kevin Dale Welch, age 59, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 10:54 p.m. in Carbondale Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL.
Kevin was born on August 28, 1957 in DuQuoin, IL, a son to Leroy and Betty (Wild) Welch. Kevin was a sales associate for Walmart and K’s Merchandise and also a truck driver. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a military policeman. He was a member of St Paul’s United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and enjoyed reading.
Survivors include a son, Kevin A. Welch of Pinckneyville, IL; two brothers, Charles Norman (Sharon) Welch of Sebring, FL and Dennis Roy (Kathy Welch) of Sparland, IL; one sister, Barbara Lynn (Dale Alan) Hill of Steeleville, IL; one granddaughter, Trinity Welch; three nephews, David Williams, Mark (Lisa) Williams, Shane (Angie) Caraker; two nieces, Ellie (Jess) Butcher and Erin (Keith) Wagenbach; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Trisha Williams; and a nephew, Ferron Hill.
Funeral Service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL with military graveside rites by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL.
Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
