She graduated from TCU with her Bachelor's Degree in 1964. She later graduated with her Masters in education from SFA and taught for 28 years.
Linda was active in the Red Hat Society of Jacksonville. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and their families. Throughout the years of teaching, she touched countless lives and shaped many futures. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Linda will be remembered for her zest for life and unique sense of humor. She was gifted with a joyous laughm a beautiful smile and a heart of gold.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Mary Hammons Jowell.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Gayle Hancock; sons, Jowell Hancock (Tammy) and, Chad Hancock (Deana); six grandchildren, Heath, Hunter, Andrew, Sarah and Hanna.
We will miss Momma's long stories, wisdom, love and closing line, "That's all I know about that."
