Dana was born Oct. 1, 1966 in Bloomington, the son of John and Joyce Lahr Hughes. He was preceded in death by his father, John Hughes; brother, Steve Lahr and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his mother; brothers and sister, Michael Lahr, Vicki (Mike) Kober, Jeff (Kathy) Lahr and Scott Hughes; three nephews; two great-nephews; one great-niece and his aunt, Janet Gorman.
Dana worked as a fork lift operator for Midwest Fiber Recycling, Normal. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, hunting and just hanging out with his friends.
Dana will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
