US Marine PFC Larry Douglas DuBose, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Rocky Mount.

US Marine Private First Class Larry Douglas DuBose was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps, PFC DuBose served our country until November 3rd, 1968 in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 19 years old and was not married. It was reported that Larry died from friendly fire. His body was recovered. PFC DuBose is on panel 39W, line 011 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.

He was the son of Mr Frank DuBose and Mrs Ina M DuBose, 1500 Hillside Drive, Rocky Mount, NC.

He served with Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, 3rd MAF.

He was awarded The Bronze Star Medal, The Combat Action Ribbon(CAR), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
