Funeral services for Mrs. Orpha Soehnge Gibson who died at a local hospital yesterday morning will be held at the David T. Peel Chapel this afternoon with the Rev. Lee Starnes, pastor of the Central Church of Christ, officiating, assisted by Rev. E. C. Bailey. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
She resided at 713 Booty Street and is survived by her husband, D. E. Gibson; two sons, Walter and Leroy Soehnge; one daughter, Lena Mae Soehnge; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Akin, and two sisters, Mrs. Steve Lea and Miss Opal Akin all of Corpus Christi. Pallbearers will be J. W. Sylvester, Frank Davis, Joe Martin, Wayne Gore, Merriman Hall, and Charles Evans.
