WINDHAM - George A. Fogg Jr., 93, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at his home.


He was born in Windham, the son of George and Edith (Rogers) Fogg. George grew up in Windham, attended local schools, and was a 1941 graduate of Windham High School. Following school, George proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a World War II and Korean conflict veteran.


He enjoyed a career as a truck driver, driving for Fogg's Transportation, Fox & Ginn, and St. Johnsbury until his retirement in 1988. George enjoyed a retirement position with the North Windham Shaw's supermarket.


He was a former Teamster, member of the Presumpscot Lodge #70 AF & AM, and Windham VFW Post #10643. George enjoyed yard work, skiing, fishing, and animals, especially his dogs.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his brothers, Elliott and Francis Fogg; and sister, Marjorie Leighton.


He is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Milliken) Fogg; twin sons, [Redacted] A. Fogg, of Riverside, Calif.; and [Redacted] M. Fogg, of Apple Valley, Calif.; sister, [Redacted] Harris, and her husband [Redacted], of Windham; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.


George will be interred in the spring at Smith Cemetery, Windham.
