Joseph F. Harrington, 92, of Dennis, MA., died peacefully at home in the company of his family on February 3, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of Harriet (Gallagher) Harrington, his wife of 65 years. He was also father of Patricia, Maureen, Joanne, John and Nancy, and grandfather of seven.

Born in East Boston and raised in Everett, Massachusetts, Joe was a triple eagle graduate of Boston College. He was a WW II Army veteran who served with the Office of Strategic Services.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday February 8, from 4 – 7 pm at the Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Dr., South Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday February 9, at 10:30 am at Saint Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.

Gifts in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
