Catherine Elizabeth "Tunky" Crawford, 86, of Nellysford passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017. Born March 22, 1930, in Nelson County a daughter of the late Bridgett Brown and Annie Crawford Brown.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Crawford and four children, Sterling Crawford, Lionel D. Crawford, LeMon Cooper and Moses Crawford.
Catherine was the Lead Lady in food processing at Con-Agra in Crozet where she worked for over 30 years and was a member of Elk Hill Baptist Church in Nellysford.
She is survived by three daughters, Annie L. Crawford of Lyndhurst, Marion C. Milam of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Eloise M. O'Neil of Bronx, NY; two sons, George Crawford of Charlottesville and Terry O. Crawford of Bowie, MD, 12 grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lovingston with Rev. Mark Stallings, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Eagle Cemetery in Nellysford. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
