Juanita Mitchell Boling, age 87 of Tazewell, VA passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Tazewell Community Hospital. Born December 19, 1929 at Tannersville, VA, she was a daughter of the late Miller Gratton Mitchell and Lula Mae Dillard Mitchell. She was a member of Black's Presbyterian Chapel. She graduated from Tazewell High School in 1947 and began her career as a beautician, working 10 years for her mentor, Mrs. Clara Lewis. She was owner and operator of Juanita's Beauty Shop for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, William Henry "Bill" Boling; brother, Howard Mitchell and wife, Marie Kitts Mitchell; sister, Verlie Davis; sister in law, Jackie Beavers.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Cooper and husband, Randall of Bluefield, VA and Nancy Lowe and husband, Michael of Pocahontas, VA; granddaughter, Ashley Baum and husband, Zackary of Fountain, CO; brother, Glen Mitchell and wife, Jane and brother in law, Wesley Davis of Roanoke, VA; special friends, Mary Shrader of Bluefield, VA and Priscilla Dillow and Dorothy Nuckles of Tazewell, VA.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 PM Monday, February 6, 2016 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with the Reverend Dr. Dave Gilbert officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Bluefield, VA.
