Mrs. Mary Rowan, aged 78 years, died the first of the week at Winamac. She was a sister of Rufus Magee of this city, and a half-sister of Mrs. Judge Reynolds also of Monticello. She was born in Ohio, came to Logansport in 1840 and nine years afterwards, was married to Henry P. Rowan, at that time one of Winamac's leading business men. Mr. Rowan died in 1870, since which time Mrs. Rowan lived with her son and only child, William Rowan at Winamac.
