Daughter of Juan and Soledad (Yorba) Avila, from two of the pioneer families of Southern California. Wife of Marcos Antonio Forster. Mother of six children, she owned and operated a lady's hat shop in Los Angeles during the 1880s. From her obituary in the Los Angeles Herald, Oct. 27, 1899:
"FORSTER - At Capistrano, Cal., October 26, 1899, Guadalupe A. de Forster, wife of M. A. Forster, aged 60 years. Funeral at Capistrano, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m."
