David John McMahon, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Novant Brunswick Medical Center.

Born on January 1, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late George and Helen Pitulski McMahon.

MSGT McMahon proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Brangan McMahon of Carolina Shores, NC; two sons, David J. McMahon, II (Kerri) and Darren McMahon (Michelle); stepson, Jude Hunt (Dreama); 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 5 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial, with full military honors, will be at 11 am on Monday, February 6 in Florence National Cemetery, Florence, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SBIC, P. O. Box 1461, Shallotte, NC 28459.
