PHILLIPS WINSTON-SALEM Diana Kaye Phillips April 4, 1958-April 23, 2014 Diana Kaye Phillips, 56, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born April 4, 1958 in Wurzburg, Germany to Barbara Schaefer and John Benbow Phillips, Jr. Diana was a graduate of Salem Academy and attended Hollins College in Virginia. A talented horseback rider, Diana took great pride in her relationships with the equestrian community and her many accomplishments in competition. She had a warm heart and a talent for quilting, needlepoint, cooking and canning. Her passions won her recognition, including blue ribbons at the Dixie Classic Fair Exhibitions. In addition to her parents, Diana is survived by her son, William Phillips of Lenoir City, TN; brother, Michael (Fay) Phillips of Winston-Salem and sister, Carolyn (Tom) Breese of Winston-Salem; nieces, Brittney (Jeff) Singleton, Mary Thompson Phillips, Anna Phillips, Megan Breese and nephew, Matt Breese. A visitation for family and friends will take place at the home of Michael and Fay Phillips on Monday, April 28 from 5:00 - 7:00p.m. A private burial is being planned for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be made through www.salemfh.com
