Hugh Marvin Chapman, 77, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 with his loving family by his side.

Hugh was born April 28, 1939 in Houston to Wilber James and Winnie Ruth Gage Chapman.
He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Hugh was a 32nd degree Mason with the Houston Lodge and had attended First Baptist Church of Azle. Hugh was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching Race Car movies and drag strip racing. Hugh worked for Baker Tools as a welder for 24 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Peggy Chapman; sons, Michael Chapman and wife, Bianca, Terry Chapman and wife, Kristie; daughters, Michelle Stamey and husband, Timothy Matheson and Shanelle Chapman; brother, John Ray Chapman and wife, Cathleen; sister, Eilene Friesz and husband, Marvin; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and loving nephews, nieces and other family members.
