He was born in Haverhill, August 16, 1948, son of the late Frank G. and Mildred O. (Dupont) Forte.
Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mr. Forte attended Northern Essex Community College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army attaining the rank of Sergeant.
For over 35 years he was employed as a Lineman for the former Mass Electric, now National Grid, from where he retired in 2005.
His love of sports was undeniable, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed his Wednesday evening golf with some of his closest friends.
His survivors include his wife of 46 years, Elaine A. (Crosley) Forte of Haverhill, a daughter; Donna M. Worthington and her husband Grant of Boca Raton, FL, two sisters; Linda M. House and her husband William A. of Haverhill, Dianne M. Lahaye of Haverhill, a grandson; Cooper R. Worthington of Boca Raton, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday, February 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning, February 3, at 11:00 in St. James Church, Haverhill. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
