Funeral services for Jerome Green of Winona will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church near Kilmichael, with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. William Johnson will officiate the services.
Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Green, 61, died at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville on Thursday, February 2. He was born in Clarksdale on January 24, 1956, to David Green and Barbara Crutcher Green. He was a certified automotive technician and was service manager for Goodyear in Clarksdale for 18 years, then service manager for Nabors Chevrolet-Tahoe in Clarksdale until his health declined.
He was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale. Mr. Green was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed his 1969 Ford Torino GT, which he
purchased while he was in high school.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his father, David Green; and a half-sister, Jennifer Green.
Mr. Green is survived by his mother, Barbara Johnson, and stepfather, Rev. William Johnson, of Kilmichael; one son, Brian Green (Angela) of Nicholasville, Kentucky; half-sister, Kimberly Bellenger of Germantown, TN; brother, David Green Jr. (Diane) of Winona; grandson, Hunter Green of Paris, MS; and one nephew, Chris Green (Amy) of Winona.
