Sarah Jo Drake-Yore, 38, of Battle Creek, died January 28, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek. Sarah was born December 20, 1978, the daughter of Jacqueline Chaney and Joseph "Toby" Everett. She graduated from high school and received her Associates Degree from Davenport University.

Sarah worked at EPI in Battle Creek and had just been promoted to Customer Service Supervisor. She loved going out to dinner, beach trips to South Haven and shopping dates with Cheyenne. Sarah was a very selfless person, always putting others need's before her own.

Sarah married Detrich Yore on July 18, 2014, whom survives. She is also survived by her mother, Jackie Chaney; two sisters, Kimberly Harris and Renee Stockman; seven nieces and nephews, Justin, Kristen, Jordan, Nicholas, Blake, Cheyenne and Harper. Sarah had a positive impact on many other family members and friends throughout the years and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services to celebrate Sarah's life will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, officiated by Pastor Thomas C. Townsend. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, February 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.
