Freddie Joe Morgan, 64, of Hanover, WV, departed this life and gained his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from a long illness.
Freddie was born April 5, 1952 in Iaeger, WV, a son of the late Shell "Shellie" Morgan (1913-1976) and Bunavista "Buna" Trent-Morgan (1913-1989). He was a former coal miner and janitor for the school system. Freddie was of the Church of Christ faith. He loved fox hunting and he had spent many years of his life hunting. He enjoyed talking, and spending time with his family and friends. Freddie loved his grandchildren immensely. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Shell "Shellie" Morgan Sr. (1913-1976) and Bunavista "Buna" Trent-Morgan (1913-1989); brothers, Franklin Delano "Bud" Morgan (1933-1998), Shell "Junior" Morgan Jr. (1934-1986), and Kinnie Morgan (Deceased); and sisters, Lucy Morgan-Carter (Deceased) and Donna Jean Morgan-Vest (Deceased).
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Donna Lester-Morgan of the home: one son, Scottie Morgan & Heather Morgan of Hanover, WV; one daughter, Nicole Morgan-Roberts & Donnie Roberts of Iaeger, WV; grandsons, Eli Morgan and Samuel Morgan both of Hanover, WV, and Colton Roberts of Iaeger, WV; a granddaughter, Kiersten Roberts also of Iaeger, WV; one brother, Jimmie Morgan & Alice Morgan of Hanover, WV and two sisters, Patsy Morgan-Lester & Peanut Lester of Iaeger, WV and Addie Morgan-Riffe of SC.
Funeral services will be conducted, Sunday, February 5, 2017, at 12:00 with Reverend Jesse Spalding and Reverend David Blankenship officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Morgan Family Cemetery at Garden Gap near Hanover, WV.
