Marion Elaine Watson, 86, of Red Wing, born to Albert and Elsie (Kalbus) Heine in Morris, Minn., on June 30, 1930, died Jan. 30, 2017, at St. Crispin Living Community, Seminary Care Center.

Marion graduated from Morris High School in 1948. She attended the University of Minnesota where she met, then married Forrest Watson on April 9, 1951. Their first home was in Bad Tolz, Germany, where Forrest served in the U.S. Army. They then settled in Red Wing in 1953. Marion was employed by Red Wing Chamber of Commerce and First State Bank. She enjoyed spending time at her lake home in Stockholm, Wis., and time with her "Lunch Bunch" friends. She was a longtime member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and active in Ladies Guild and Choir.

Marion is survived by her husband of 65 years, Forrest of Red Wing; sons, David of Red Wing, and Todd (Kathryn) of Waconia, Minn.; daughter, Mary (Ralph) Rauterkus of Red Wing; grandchildren, Jeremy, Andrew, Julie (Brandon Johnson), Mackenzie, Grace and Caroline; great-grandchildren, Sheldon, Lane and Collins; and brother, Merle "Bud" Heine of Red Wing. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Her family sincerely appreciates the loving care provided by Seminary Care Center and Mayo Hospice.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 425 East Ave, Red Wing, with the Rev. Todd Engel officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in the spring.

Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Endowment Fund or the Red Wing Kiwanis Foundation Flower Basket Trust.
