Long Time Grass Valley Resident Betty Mae (Stevens) Walsh passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2017, at the age of 85. Born and raised in San Francisco California, Betty and her husband James retired to Grass Valley in 1984. Beloved wife and mother, Betty will live forever in the hearts of loved ones. Betty had 3 children, Steven Walsh of Hilo, Sandra Malin of Auburn and Sheila Greeno of Truckee and 4 grandchildren,
Betty lived life to the fullest. She was nothing short of amazing. In her 40's she earned her private pilots license and was a member of the The Ninety-Nines, Inc., an international organization of licensed women pilots. Betty touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who knew her as a good and loving woman.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Walsh.
Memorial Service will be held February 6 at Lassila Funeral Chapels in Auburn CA. A reception immediately following.
A small graveside service will be held at Olivet Memorial Park in Colma, California on Febraury 9th.
