Mary Kathleen Jay, 86, of Mooresville, Indiana, went peacefully to her Lord on February 1, 2017 after an eight-year battle with cancer.
Kathleen was born to Ralph and Minnie (Nelson) Anders on May 9, 1930, in Rheem’s Creek, North Carolina. She graduated from Van Buren High School. She married James Nelson Jay on December 23, 1951.
Kathleen now walks the kingdom of heaven with her husband Nelson, her son Jeffrey Jay (Brenda), and her daughter Jennifer (Jay) Funcheon, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons Gregory Jay (Jill) of Mooresville, James R. Jay (Marsha) of Plainfield and David Jay (Lisa) of Plainfield; sister Barbara Maggart (Don) of Wabash; thirteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; all of whom will miss her dearly.
