Jim graduated from Marietta High School in 1955, and earned a Masters Degree in Engineering from Georgia Tech. He retired from Lockheed Corporation after 28 years and started CadCom, which grew to be one of the largest manufacturers of answering service equipment in North America.
Jim was a charter member of Macland Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon and Elder. He was a passionate advocate for the homeless, particularly homeless veterans. He worked for many years with Habitat for Humanity and served in multiple mission efforts.
In his retirement, Jim enjoyed photographing the nature off his back porch, researching the family tree and writing a blog about Quantum Physics.
