Charles Marvin “Chuck” Bettis, Jr.

Mr. Charles Marvin “Chuck” Bettis, Jr., age 58 died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Landrum Hospice Home.

Mr. Bettis was born in Union, SC on May 19, 1958 a son of Charles Marvin Bettis formerly of Union and the late Peggy Lee Bettis. He was graduate of Union High School and a member of First Presbyterian Church Union. Mr. Bettis had made his home in Columbia for the last several years. He loved the outdoors, particularly boating and fishing and was passionate about the Clemson Tigers.

Surviving in addition to his father are one sister, Mary Lee Bettis Cantey of Spartanburg; one nephew, Field Cantey of Charlotte, NC; and one niece, Lee Cantey of Spartanburg.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the “Angels” at Foothills Hospice House in Landrum.
