Mrs. Bessie Kitto Died Yesterday; Services Monday
Mrs. Bessie Kitto, who has been a resident of Grass Valley for the past 53 years and who has a wide circle of friends and acquaintances in the community, passed away at 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the family home 212 Washington street. She was the widow of the late Ed Kitto of Grass Valley.
Mrs. Kitto was a native of England, born January 23, 1870 and was aged 66 years, 8 months and 17 days.
The deceased woman leaves two daughters, Mrs. Jane Stevens and Mrs. Ethel Hampton, Grass Valley; a brother, Sidney Hooper, Sacramento and the following grandchildren; Ernest Hampton, Irene Stevens, Violet Hampton and Beverly Hampton.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at Jefford Funeral Parlors on South Auburn street. Rev. E. O. Chapel will direct the chapel services and give the benediction at the family plot in the City Cemetery.

SERVICES FOR MRS. BESSIE KITTO HELD AT JEFFORD PARLORS
Rev. E. O. Chapel of the Congregational Church was the officiating clergyman for the funeral services of the late Mrs. Bessie Kitto, which were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the chapel of the Jefford Funeral Parlors with many friends and family members in attendance.
William Prouse, soloist for the services, sang "The Old Rugged Cross" with Mrs. Wilma Jefford at the organ.
Interment was made in the City Cemetery. Pallbearers were: James Heather, Bruce Provine, Gordon Luke, William Prouse, Richard Thomas and Ernest George.
