Mrs. Betty Sue Carter Hayes, age 85, of Calhoun passed away January 31, 2017.

Mrs. Hayes was born June 1, 1931 in Gordon County a daughter of the late James J. Carter, and Rosa Callie Neal Carter. Mrs. Hayes was a homemaker, and was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Everett, Jr. and Troy Hayes, 7 brothers, 3 sisters and a son- in- law, Harold H. Hilliard, sr.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Joe Everett, Everett Springs; daughters, Diane (Ray) Seabolt, Everett Springs; Nancy (Johnny) Reynolds, Everett Springs; Peggy (Billy) Johns, Resaca: Dale (Danny) Goodwin, Everett Spring; grandchildren, 6, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survivie.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday February 3, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jackie Dutton, officiating. Interment will follow in Everett Springs Cemetery. The family will revceive friends from 5 until 7 P.M. on Thursday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
