James Brian Harwell, 46, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Medical Center Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 4, 1970 in Kermit, Texas to Janet Kahlig Harwell and adopted by Jack L. Harwell who was his mentor and loving father. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Harwell and grandparents, Lawrence and Evelyn Kahlig. Everyone knew him as an exceptional carpenter that took pride in his custom cabinetry. In following his wishes as a man who always helped others his organs have been donated.

Survivors included his wife, mother sister, Joy, two children, uncle James and aunt Norma, cousin Carol, and many other family and friends. Memorial Service will be held at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, and at Lifepoint Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas, on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, with interment to follow in Lawnhaven Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas.
