He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Clifton Ellis, Sr., Lula Bell McNeil Ellis and his sister, Jacqueline Arlinda Ellis. He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Careem (Taylor) Ellis, Okinawa, Japan and Carmeedra Spears, Mobile, AL; five sisters and brothers, Cynthia (Roger) Evans, Sharon (Harold) Gregg, Darryl C. Ellis, all of the D.C. Metro Area; Mary (Luther) McLean, William (Courtney) Ellis, Mobile, AL; one nephew, Roger D. Evans, Jr., Bowie M.D.; one uncle, Alfred (Cecilia) Ellis; Jasper, Florida; two aunts, Gladys Lee, Joyce Patterson, both of Jacksonville, FL; very devoted friends, Patricia Spears Tunstall, Carnetta Spears, and Terrance Barney; adopted son, Ricky Tucker, Mobile, AL, Tracie Wilson and William "Flash" Richardson; three God sisters, Jillian Figgers, Tensey Scott and Dr. Barbara Wheat, Mobile, Alabama; one God brother, Mastaki Smith, Birmingham, AL., a host of cousins, two devoted, Michael (Dorothy) Ellis and Larry Pickens; other relatives a friends.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, February, 4, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Celebration of Life Hour at Union Baptist Church, Rev. Derek Tucker, Pastor and Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Interment to follow at Plateau Cemetery, (Africatown, USA), Alabama. Arrangements are entrusted to the careful direction of Reese Funeral Home 925 S.
