Born in North Hornell on Aug. 12, 1949, he was a son of the late Joseph and Luna Henry Munson. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Jeanne; his brother, John Munson and his brother-in-law, Robert Chura.
A graduate of Arkport Central School, Jim was a former resident of Mills, Wyoming and was employed as an equipment operator for the Black Thunder Mines in Gillette, Wyoming. He returned to reside in Arkport about five years ago.
His loving family includes his sister, Mary Ann Chura of Hornell; his sister-in-law, Shirley Munson of Canaseraga; also several nieces and a nephew.
