Earl L. Wolslagel, 69, Lake Erskine, N.J. Bellevue native died in Philadelphia Hospital early this morning. He had been a patient at the hospital since last November. Mr. Wolslagel was born in the former Walslagel home on Kilbourne St. in 1889, the son of Ephralm G. and Ida Royer Wolslagel. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1907 and as a student at Moody Bible Institute, Chicago. Upon completion of his education he became associated with the Southern Baptist Board as an evangelist singer and young folks entertainer. He substituted for Homer Rodeheaver in the Billy Sunday Evangelistic campaigns, and led meetings conducted by Dr. Ralph Sockman. Dr. Norman S. Peale, William Jennings Bryan and many others. He was married to Miss Phyllis Woodall, Clyde, S.C., who was a musician and instrumental teacher. Together they served as leaders of religious meetings for many years.
