Willie Edward Morris, 77, of Keene, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on October 20, 1939, in Louisa, a son of the late Layton Jake and Maude Anna (Lloyd) Morris.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Willie enjoyed riding his moped, his cats, and visiting antique stores. But above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends and learning from the Bible.

Survivors include a brother, Guy Morris and his wife, Liz of Louisa; a sister, Gladys Morris and her husband, James of Charlottesville; a special niece, whom he raised as his daughter, Debbie Napier and her husband, Donald of Buckingham and her daughter, Angela and children, Dakota, Logan, Seth, and McKenna, whom he loved as his grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017, at the Collinswood Community Center (corner of Hardware Rd and Route 6) near Scottsville. The family will receive friends for a time of food and fellowship immediately following the service at Collinswood.
