Funeral services for Joseph DeRossette, age forty-three, for more than ten years a patrolman on the Indianapolis police force, who died Satruday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Whipple, 1613 Ashland avenue, following an attack of double pneumonia, were held Monday afternoon. Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery. Mr. DeRosette had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Whipple for the last eight years. He had been ill about two weeks.

The pallbearers were Lieutenant Claude Johnson, Sergeants Claffey and Volderauer, Motor Policeman Joseph Everson; William Stevens, agonman, and Patrolman, Fred Hanley. The Police and Firemen's Band accompanied the funeral procession.

DeRossette was appointed to the police department September 14, 1914, the third of three brothers who were on the force. His brother, John DeRossette, was killed eight years ago by a negro bandit in Brightwood. The other brother, Keller DeRossette, is a patrolman. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. John Linder of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Elmer Masten, of Amo, and three brothers, Keller DeRosette and J. T. and Thomas DeRossette, both of Louisville, Ky.
