Daniel Eugene Welch
1932-2017

Daniel Eugene Welch, 84, of Pensacola Florida passed away on Wednesday, the 25th of January 2017. He was born in Andalusia, Alabama to the late Reverend and Mrs. D. L. Welch. He worked for 42 years at the paper mill as a supervisor. He loved life. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, garage sales and being with family and friends. He never met a stranger. He played the trumpet at his father's church as a boy and also loved jazz. He was a father to many and to us a great dad.
He is survived by the love of his life, Dixie, who he was married to for 64 years, his children: Danny, Donna, Jeanne (Ron) Peacock and grandchildren Doug, Aaron & Adriana Ohlson, Dylan & Sara Stackpole, Danielle, Dallas, Shantel, Wesley & Leanne Peacock, Andrea, Sarah & Larry Hayles and nine great grandchildren.
He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace Pop.
The funeral will be held at the First Pentecostal Church on Friday, February the 3rd, 2017 from 10 to 12 p.m. Pallbearers will be Aaron Ohlson, Dallas Welch, Roger Enfinger, Ronnie Gates, Dylan Stackpole and Wesley Peacock. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Ayers, Bud Gates , Ryan Taylor and Jim Ruef.
Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
