Buford LeRoy Bobb, 86, Muscoda, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, at the Karmenta Nursing Home, Madison. He was born on March 10, 1911, in Richland County, the son of William and Ella Grace (Landon) Bobb. He was united in marriage on Aug. 31, 1935, to Anna Mary Kisting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Muscoda. Buford left high school to drive gravel truck. He later owned his own trucks and had a milk route in the Muscoda and rural Richland County area. He then drove truck for Waunakee Transfer out of Boscobel, retiring in 1974. He is a retired Teamster and former Union Steward. After his retirement he picked apples for Oak wood Fruit Farm in rural Richland County. He was an avid motorcycle driver and model airplane maker in which he had his own hobby shop, Riverview Hobby Shop. In the 1950s Buford raced power boats. He is survived by his wife, Anna, Muscoda; three daughters, Joanne Richter, Rosalie (Bernard) Siefert and Carol (Dale) Pauls, all of Madison; four grandchildren, Katherine Joanne Richter, Chicago, Mark Pauls, Michelle Siefert and Marcy Pauls, all of Madison; a brother, Paul, Richland Center; two sisters, Lorraine Orth, Black Earth and Ruth (Max) Barth, Madison; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Elaine in 1950; a brother, Donald Boyd Bobb; and his parents. A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday at the SL John Baptist Catholic Church in Muscoda with Father Roger H. Taylor officiating and burial in the church cemetery at a later date. The Godager Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
