Priscilla Ann Laing Davis age 69 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Pace, FL. She was born on August 10, 1947 in Pensacola, FL to Earl and Juliaette Laing. She graduated from Escambia High school in 1965. She was married to the love of her life, David Davis Sr., on July 1, 1967. Mom loved serving the Lord and was a devoted Christian. She served on the board for the United Methodist Women. She was a lifetime member of Richards Memorial United Methodist Church. She worked in the nursery at the church for 20 plus years, and volunteered with the youth as a counselor for 15 plus years.
Mom is preceded in death by: her loving husband of 49 years, David Davis Sr.; parents, Earl and Juliaette Laing; and granddaughter, Brooke Katie-Ann Davis.
She is survived by: her children: daughter, Michelle (Randy) Slade of Pace, FL; son, David (Danyelle) Davis of Pace, FL; and daughter, Paula (Darren) Gillespie of Radcliff, KY; and 8 grandchildren: Kristen Slade, Chance Gillespie, Cory Slade, Shelby Gillespie, Jonah Gillespie, Paige Davis, Julieann Gillespie, and Joshua Davis.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Trahan Funeral Home in Pensacola from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The Funeral Service will be Friday, February 3, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. also at the funeral home with the burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Darren Gillespie and Reverend Gary Jones
Pallbearers will be Don Davis, Dan Davis, Terry Brown, Chance Gillespie, Cory Slade, Jonah Gillespie. A special thanks to all our family and friends for the love and support during this hard time.
Mom was a very special and loving person. She would do anything for anybody and it always showed. Mom, we are forever thankful for the Christian home and values that Daddy and you have taught us. Grandma thank you for teaching us the value of family and love. Until we can all be together in heaven and complete our family chain, we love and will miss you!
