Gary Brant Hopper, a resident of Henryetta passed away Tuesday, January 31st, 2017 in Pawhuska at the age of 73. He was born December 31, 1943 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to George Dallas Hopper & Edith Ethel (Richardson) Hopper.
He was a graduate of Dewar Public Schools and was a veteran of the Viet-Nam Conflict serving with the United States Marines.
Gary worked for many years as an X-ray technician on various pipeline constructions and retired as an Inspector. He was a member of the American Legion in Henryetta.
He is preceded in death by a son, Raymond Neal Hopper, a brother, Merle Richardson and a sister, Wanda Griffin.
He is survived by four children: Robert Hopper of Camarillo, California; Deborah Hopper of Camarillo, California; Roxane Hopper & husband Thomas Hodge of Sante Fe, New Mexico; Karrie Hopper & husband Marcus Renninger of Austin, Texas; Two grandchildren: Raymond Jacob Hopper & Lance Allen Salera; Two sisters: Doris Creech of Glenpool; Mary Dodge of Glenpool; One Brother: Rick Hopper of Rockwall, Texas; As well as nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at Lackey Cemetery, Hitchita, Oklahoma.
