Paula Sue, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2011 in Sherman, Texas. Paula was born May 17, 1940 in Trenton, Texas to Samuel Augustus Daughrity and Hazel Pauline Hall Daughrity. She married Adolph Lee Barnes on February 7, 1959 in Durant, Oklahoma. They had 38 years of life together on this earth and are now rejoicing together in heaven.
Paula loved life. She loved her family, camping and line dancing. She was a retired bookkeeper and last worked at Goins Lumber Yard in Bells. She was a long time member of the Church of Christ of Whitewright and enjoyed spending time with the ladies of the church and getting together with her party barn friends.
She is survived by daughter Debbie Reiter and husband Jim of Whitewright; son, Lannie Barnes and wife Karen of Whitewright; grandsons, Levi Barnes and girlfriend Jessica of the Colony; Logan Barnes of the Colony; and Travis Reiter of Lawton, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter, Addisyn Reiter of Whitesboro; brother, Sam Douglas Daughrity and wife Glenda of Denison; and Gary Daughrity and wife Diana of Little Elm; brother-in-law, Bill Barnes and wife Mary of Trenton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Adolph; and her parents, Sam and Pauline.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Whitewright. Burial will follow at Burns Cemetery in Trenton, Texas. Officiating the service will be Mr. Mike Marsters and Mr. Frazier Conley.
Pallbearers will be Eddie McCartney, Narvin Alexander, Bob Purdom, Bill McFatridge, Rodney Bow and Richard Santagrossi. Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Home at their convenience on Monday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 5:30-7:00pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, Whitewright, Texas.
