Mary Ann Gill, 85, of Rockton, IL, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on January 27, 2017. She spent her remaining years at the Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in Rockford, IL where they gave her much loving care and comfort. Mary Ann was born on February 27, 1931 in Burlington, Iowa to Harry and Edna Pepmeyer. She married Kenneth Gill on April 11, 1953; this April would mark 64 years together in marriage. Mary Ann was a homemaker. She enjoyed long walks, crocheting, Bible study groups and the companionship of her many dogs. She lived most of her life in Crystal Lake, IL but also spent time enjoying retirement in Arizona and Rockton. While living in Arizona she created beautiful hand made baskets. Mary Ann and Ken enjoyed biking and traveling together and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughters, Cynthia (Steven) King, Diane (Mike) Day, Lisa (Russell) Grubbs and Marilee (Ron) Dooman; granddaughters, Michelle (Jeremy) DeAngelis, Melissa (Justin) Abney, Sarah Grubbs, Natalie Grubbs and Kellie Dooman; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Abney, Hailey DeAngelis and Owen DeAngelis. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her son, David Gill; brother, Glen Pepmeyer; parents, Edna and Harry; and sister Ruth.

Funeral service with be held at 11:30 a.m. in Heritage Baptist Church, 12848 Willowbrook Road, Roscoe, IL on Tuesday, January 31. Visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the service. Interment in Rockton Cemetery followed by a luncheon. Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Roscoe Chapel is honored to assist the family.
