Effie Lee Dennis-Johnson, 77, of Summerville, widow of Johnny J. Johnson, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at her residence.
Friends and family are invited to attend her visitation on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 10 o’clock until hour of service at Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Funeral services will begin at 11 o’clock AM. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
Effie was born on November 22, 1939 in McClellanville, SC daughter of the late Harry Hutto and Annibell (Carrigg) Huto. She was a charter member since 1977 at Old Fort Baptist Church.
Surviving are: three children: Roy Dennis (Kathy) of Round O, SC, Linda McMahan (David Strange) of Springfield, MO and Suzy Mitchum (Larry) of Ridgeville, SC; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother: Mike Hutto. She was predeceased by her twin daughters, Charline & Darline Dennis and one son, Teddy Dennis.
