Sylvia “Gail” Ball, age 76 of White Pine, passed away after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Gail drove a Jefferson Co. school bus for 26 years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of White Pine. Gail enjoyed “Her” school bus children and many still visited her until the end. Gail also enjoyed family gatherings with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Nannie and Alonzo Brown, son Danny Lee Ball Jr, brothers; Joseph, Jerry, John and George Brown, sister; Aileen Sailor and Ruby Phillips, and great-grandson Jace Hollingshead

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Danny Ball, son, Dwayne Lane and wife Debbie of Knoxville, daughter, Diane Parker and husband Frank of White Pine, son, Jeff Lane of Knoxville, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brothers, Frank and Harvey Brown both of Newport and sisters, Debbie Crumb and Jessie Ross both of Newport as well as multiple special nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, 7:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, with the Rev. Charles Robison officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the funeral service. Graveside Interment Service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017, 12 Noon in Coleman Cemetery.
