Earl Foster, 77, of Champaign formerly of Danville, passed away at Carle Hospital in Urbana on Sunday January 29, 2017. Earl was born a twin son of Joseph and Esther (Dawson) Foster. Earl married Karen Kyle on December 21, 1963 she preceded him in death on December 21, 2009.

Earl leaves behind his daughter Kathy (Chris Soberalski) Thompson, four grandchildren; Anna, Jenna, Ethan and Liam, two sisters; Davanna “Bonnie” Lee and Esther “Peg” Eldridge.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his twin brother Paul and one other brother David “Sonny” Foster.

Earl worked at Golden Sun Feeds for many years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Georgetown where he served as an usher and door greater for many years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, roller skating, being outside watching people pass by. He also enjoyed collecting antique cars and kept them in a cabinet for all to see. Earl loved his grandchildren and being able to play with them, he also loved to eat and enjoyed the fellowship of people when doing so.
Earl loved his country and was proud of where he came from.

A celebration of Earl’s life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St, on Thursday February 2, 2017 at 2pm. With Pastor Jerry Silver officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to his celebration. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
