Axel Lindhartsen Rites Here Thursday
Last rites were held from the Presbyterian church of Ord, Thursday afternoon for Axel Lindhartsen, 73, who died Nov. 24, 1956, in American Falls, Ida. He was ill 15 days.
The services were conducted by Rev. Warren Porter, pastor of the church. Concluding services, in charge of Hastings-Pearson mortuary, were held in the Ord City Cemetery.
Axel Lawrence Lindhartsen was born Sept. 22, 1883, in Schuyler, the son of Carl and Oleine Lindhartsen.
He came to Valley county in 1898. On Nov. 20, 1907, he was united in marriage to Anna Witt in Grand Island. He moved to Aberdeen, Ida., in 1938, where he sold real estate and insurance.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Ogden, of Sterling, Ida., and eight grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.
