Adeline J McKeighan age 90 of Minneapolis, formerly of Pine Island, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Unity Hospital surrounded by family. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island at 2:00 P.M with Pastor Craig Briemhorst officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 1, from 4:00 P.M – 7:00 P.M at the Mahn Family Funeral Home – Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Pine Island Cemetery.

Adeline Juliet Rolstad was born on February 16, 1926 to John and Juella (Kjolstad) Rolstad in Hanska, MN, where she was raised. She graduated from Hanska High School in 1944. Adeline worked for the “Bloody Bucket” where she met her future husband F. “Keith” McKeighan. They were married on August 4, 1946 on her parents’ farm. They lived in Mankato, Boyd and Clarkfield before settling in Pine Island in 1954. Adeline worked for the Hubbell House in Mantorville for 12 years and then at Michael’s Restaurant in Rochester for another 13 years. F. Keith passed away in 1989 and Adeline retired the year after in 1990. In her retirement she enjoyed time with family and friends. In 2000 Adeline moved to Minneapolis to be closer to her children. Adeline was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran, the Legion Auxiliary and Pine Island Senior Citizens. Adeline enjoyed playing cards, crafting, quilting, going to the casino, visiting with friends, and getting together with family, especially on Christmas.

Adeline is survived by her children, Tania (Maureen) McKeighan of New Brighton, Marcy (Max) Hemstad of Montevideo, Karly Gilman of Plymouth and Kory (Belinda) McKeighan of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Nicole Hemstad, Brett Gilman, Erin Villanueva and Mark McKeighan; four great-grandchildren, Avery, Haley, Zayne and London; two brothers and one sister.
Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, F. Keith; grandson, Shane Hemstad; and one sister.
