Vivian Brewer, of Attalla, formerly of Newport, Ark., has passed away at the age of 89.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Monday at Rainbow Memorial Gardens in Gadsden. The Rev. Jimmy Bailey will officiate the service. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory is directing.
Vivian was a native of Arkansas and a longtime resident of Etowah County. A dedicated Christian, Vivian loved the Lord. She will be remembered as a sweet, loving and devoted mother. When times were sad, she was heard to say "It's always darkest before the dawn." And we know there will be a brighter day coming when we will take our comfort in our "Great Reunion," when we shall see you again, be together forever, praising the Lord and giving Him glory. John 3:16. 2 Corinthians 4:6. John 5:24. John 11:25-26.
Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Andrea Presley and Dorothy Ruth Sherrill, both of Attalla; sister, Evelyn Shy; grandchildren, Robert Presley of California, Earl Allen Sherrill of Memphis, Tenn.; great-grandchild, Deanna Sherrill.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers
The family will receive friends for visitation at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Monday morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
